QB receipt fails to generate

Question regarding Teapplix QuickBooks Integration

QB receipt fails to generate

Postby snpower227 » 05 Jul 2010, 05:31

During my last Quickbooks data exchange the web connector gave me an error stating, "List item already in use".

That particular sale had a service item line with a total of $0.00. The SKU and the Item Name in Quickbooks were identical. I changed the Item Name which eliminated the error but I can't get the receipt to generate in Quickbooks.

Right now Teapplix only models "inventory items", meaning we can handle physical goods. Other than that we can also model shipping fees, paypal and amazon fees (as sales discounts), but we can not model a "service item".

If you create a matching item name, that is of the type "inventory item", then everything will be fine.

Ok I created a new item for this service and listed it as an inventory item with no price.

I changed the order in Teapplix to use the SKU from this new item but the receipt is still not generating.

Not sure about the actual error cause now. Please call our main phone number as we may have to debug on the phone.

Although this particular receipt will not gimport into Quickbooks, subsequent sales whereby the service item has been reconfigured as an inventory item are importing fine.

OK thanks for the feedback. Basically, the summary of this is that Teapplix today can only model "inventory items", not "service items". Our software will be confused by line items that are not tangible goods.
