FedEx Web Services (PDF) Beta

Teapplix is now FedEx certified. This means you can print FedEx shipping labels as a PDF directly from Teapplix web page without ShipManager software.

This will be supported on both Windows and Mac.

We are planning on doing beta tests starting next week. Please contact Teapplix support if you would like to try this out. We would like to limit to domestic services initially, and expand to international in about 2 weeks.

UPS Mail Innovations

We have changed the generated XML that feed UPS WorldShip to always indicate "Address Service Requested" rather than "Return Service Requested". This applies to Mail Innovations and Surepost.

Please let us know if you have questions and concerns regarding this.

Changes in Automatic Inventory Assembly Build

We have made changes in automatic build of inventory assembly.

If you do not have enough components to build the required inventory assemblies, instead of making the build pending, Teapplix now just silently fail the build.

As a result, you will not end up with "pending" inventory assembly builds. Instead the quantity available on the inventory assembly item will go negative. When you obtain components, you can manually build the inventory assemblies to make the quantity go to 0.

Direct Print ActiveX now supports 64bit Internet Explorer

We have released a fix to our direct print ActiveX to support 64 bit version of internet explorer.

Direct print allows you to integrate with Endicia DaZzle and UPS WorldShip from our web page without the need for file import export. One or two button press is all it takes to print shipping labels.

Of course you can also use our online API based integration to print shipping labels without any external programs.

Re-classification of USPS First Class Mail on eBay

We have updated our default ebay shipping method to map USPS First Class Package to "Standard". This follows eBay changes last week announced below:

USPS First-Class Service No Longer an Expedited Shipping Service

Starting the first week of May, USPS First-Class will be reclassified on eBay from an Expedited to a Standard shipping service. Expedited shipping services have an estimated delivery time of 2-3 business days and Standard shipping services have an estimated delivery time of 2-5 business days, and since USPS First-Class did not always meet the Expedited delivery time requirement, it is being reclassified. The shipping service name changes from First-Class Mail to First-Class Package.

Note that Teapplix provides a tool to override the default eBay shipping methods classification.

Change in “Use Custom Label as Item Name”

If you are in "PayPal" mode for your eBay / PayPal integration, and you selected "Use Custom Label as Item Name":

The behavior in Teapplix, for multi-variation listings, is that we will import title + variation chosen as item name.

For all other listings, we will import the custom label as item name.

This is a change in behavior staring 4/3/2012.
