Address Validation and Correction

We have enhanced the "rate" link to perform address validation and correction. This works if you use Stamps.com, UPS Online API, and FedEx Web Services.

When you assign a shipping method + weight, and click on the rate link, you will be promopted for the following:

  1. If parts of the address is not correct and the carrier has a better address
  2. If the address is residential but not marked as residential

If you press "Yes" to correct, the address in Teapplix will be corrected. Note you will have to refresh the open order page to see the corrected address.

Packing Lists and Shipping Emails Template Customization

We are beta testing deep customization for Packing List and Ship Notification emails.

New features in this include:

  1. "Advanced" tab that allow you to modify css and HTML templates that are used to generate the packing list and notification emails.
  2. Access to template language: you can use template language to add condition parts to the packing list. For example, you can make the packing list look different for orders from different sources
  3. You can upload logo image to Teapplix, rather than having to host the image somewhere. To do this, click on the "img" button in the editor

The template language used by the packing list and emails is described in www.clearsilver.net.

Changes in Automatic Inventory Assembly Build

We have made changes in automatic build of inventory assembly.

If you do not have enough components to build the required inventory assemblies, instead of making the build pending, Teapplix now just silently fail the build.

As a result, you will not end up with "pending" inventory assembly builds. Instead the quantity available on the inventory assembly item will go negative. When you obtain components, you can manually build the inventory assemblies to make the quantity go to 0.

Direct Print ActiveX now supports 64bit Internet Explorer

We have released a fix to our direct print ActiveX to support 64 bit version of internet explorer.

Direct print allows you to integrate with Endicia DaZzle and UPS WorldShip from our web page without the need for file import export. One or two button press is all it takes to print shipping labels.

Of course you can also use our online API based integration to print shipping labels without any external programs.
