Changes to Customer Report, APO filters

We have added more fields into the customer report. It now has almost all data needed to reconstruct the original order.

In addition, shipped orders will include carrier and tracking number in the report.

"PO Box Hawaii & Alaska" filter has been enhanced to filter out most addresses that can not be considered "lower 48":

Guam
Puerto Rico
APO | FPO | DPO
MP

Sears Marketplace Support

We now support Sears Marketplace, for both order import as well as ship confirmation back.

You need to add your Sears Marketplace login/password to Setup => Others => Shopping Cart.

Note that due to order id conflicts, you can not have Sears.com / Buy.com / Volusion integrated into the same Teapplix account right now. You need to open multiple Teapplix accounts for this.

Ability to edit existing item name to QuickBooks inventory mapping

If you only subscribe to QuickBooks Integration, Teapplix has added a new method to edit item name to QB inventory mapping. Click on the "No Matching Items" link under QuickBooks tab, and on the table you have a drop down to select "Unmapped items" vs "Mapped items". You can use the Mapped items view to change or delete existing mappings.

Changes in QuickBooks sales tax export

A change has been made in how Teapplix represent sales tax when exporting to QuickBooks.

Starting from 3/8/2011, all exports to QuickBooks that are "taxable" will have the "customer taxable" bit turned on. Orders with no tax will have "Customer taxable" bit turned off.

Before 3/8/2011, Teapplix exports orders by choosing among 2 different sales tax items: one with your state rate, the other with 0 tax rate. If an order has 0 tax, then Teapplix chooses the 0 tax rate item.

This old method requires you to configure a sales tax item with 0 rate. This actually triggers an warning when you do tax related reports in QuickBooks.

Shipping insurance and notifications

Teapplix has made a change in how we handle packages that carries thirdparty shipping insurance.

Teapplix use to put a line on packing list and email notifications that states the package is covered by thirdparty shipping insurance, and some details about what to do when damaged.

We have revised this policy and no longer put any special notations on if a package is insured or not.

Duplicate orders in QuickBooks

If you notice that sometimes, you are getting duplicate orders exported to QuickBooks, please check your Internet connection and make sure the export completes without error.

The way Teapplix export orders to QuickBooks:

1) send a batch of orders to QB for export
2) receive from QB confirm that these orders are exported, with sales number
3) record that these orders are exported

Under one scenario, Internet connection is lost between QuickBooks and Teapplix after 1). When this happens, QuickBooks tries to send confirm to Teapplix for a few minutes, and then gives up.

This will cause Teapplix to not know that this batch of orders (up to 100) is alreay exported. Next time, Teapplix will re-export the same orders, even though during the first try these orders have already been exported.

To avoid this, make sure your internet connection is solid. If you are exporting orders to QuickBooks for shipping, it's best to watch the export complete and make sure no error happens. If you run into an error that cause an order to be in QuickBooks but still in "Unexported orders" queue in Teapplix, you should remove that order from Teapplix export queue.

QuickBooks order export changes

1) on "Un-exported orders" page, you can now remove orders from export queue. Once done, these orders will never be exported to QuickBooks.

2) We changed the numbering system for orders. Order number will not be assigned by QuickBooks no matter where the order comes from. The only exception to this rule is for Teapplix TConnect version of our application. TConnect is eBay only and uses eBay Sales Record Number.
