Changes to Pitney Bowes USPS shipping label

On April 1st, 2026, as requested by USPS, Teapplix + Pitney Bowes will revise the USPS shipping label returned by our software.

Historically, this shipping label is a kind called 'PC Postage'. You can tell by looking at a special barcode indicium on the top right.

USPS has been pushing all merchants to switch to a new design based on what is called "USPS Ship" API. You may have already seen it when you buy shipping labels from Amazon / TikTok / Temu. On or shortly after April 1st, 2026, all USPS labels purchased from Teapplix will also use USPS Ship API design.

You will be charged the same rate you currently are charged. There are some small differences in manifest and refund procedures:

  • USPS Ship API labels will be auto manifested on 1AM central time, every day. If your label has a future ship date, it manifest 1AM the day after your ship date.
  • If you cancel a USPS Ship API label before manifest, you get full refund
  • If you cancel a USPS Ship API label after manifest, including manual or automated manifest, you will be charged 10% of the rate on the label as 'service fee'. The rest will be returned to you.
  • You MUST ensure, that all your label has been manifested, either automatically or manually on Teapplix EOD page, before your package is picked up and processed by USPS. USPS may treat your package as fraud if you do give them the package before Manifest.
