WooCommerce support

Teapplix now supports WooCommerce.

We can download orders from WooCommerce, and confirm orders as shipped by changing it to "completed" status. If you use our QuickBooks integration products, you can download orders and export to QuickBooks.

WooCommerce do not have a tracking number system natively. Currently Teapplix do not upload any tracking number back to WooCommerce, as there is no place to put it.

Currently, our InventoryAdvisor product do not yet import production information from WooCommerce, nor does it push quantity updates to WooCommerce. This will be addressed in a future enhancement.

Marking Orders as Un-Shipped, Re-Exporting Orders to QuickBooks

Normally, if you have an order shipped in Teapplix using our PDF based shipping methods, you can "cancel label" on this order in Order History, and the order will go back to open orders.

If you have an order that is printed via our DaZzle or UPSWorldShip integration, there is no "cancel label" link, because you have to cancel the shipment in DaZzle or UPSWorldShip.

However, there was not a way to mark the corresponding Teapplix order as open once you cancel the label. We just now introduced a link "unmark as shipped", on Order History screen, that will clear the shipped status of the order and any related tracking info, and move the order back to Open Orders list. (Teapplix can not "unmark the order shipped on eBay or Amazon or other marketplaces, there are no such operations supported there).

Once in Open Orders, if you ship the order again. It will upload the new tracking number back onto the marketplace.

In addition, if you use our QuickBooks integration, any orders exported to QuickBooks, in Teapplix there will be a "re-export" link that will clear the exported bit in Teapplix, and cause the order to be re-exported to QuickBooks again.

New QuickBooks “Daily Summary” Export

For some of our larger sellers, exporting each individual orders to quickbooks may pose a serious volume problem. If you have more than a couple of hundred orders per day, you may find that QuickBooks can not scale if you export each sale as an individual sales receipt record.

Yet it is still important to export the orders to QuickBooks for accounting and inventory tracking purposes. To achieve this and solve the scaling problem, Teapplix just introduced a "daily summary" export option.

When you select such option, Teapplix will export a single "summary" order record, per marketplace per tax status.

For example, if you have Amazon, eBay and your website, every day there will be 6 orders exported to QuickBooks:

1) Amazon "taxable" orders are added together and form a single export

2) Amazon "non-taxable" orders are added together and form a single export

3) eBay "taxable"

4) eBay "non-taxable"

5) Website "taxable"

6) Website "non-taxable"

When Teapplix build a summary order, order lines for the same QuickBooks item are merged together. Order lines matching different QuickBooks items remain separate lines. For example, you may end up with a order like this:

Order X

line 1 item x1 quantity 250 subtotal $1295.30

line 2 item x2 quantity 123 subtotal $985.12

.....

line 94 item x94 quanity 55 subtotal 3280.14

When you select Daily Summary export option, there are some further restrictions:

1) you must choose "one customer per marketplace" option. The summary order will match a single customer representing the marketplace

2) orders that have today's date (PST or PDT) will not export. They will wait till tomorrow.

Changes to Teapplix Shipping Insurance

Our shipping insurance provider has implemented the following improvements to the claims procedure:

  1. We have changed the waiting period for filing lost claims via the USPS and consolidators (SmartPost, Global Mail, Etc). They used to be 21 days for Domestic shipments and 45 for International. We have changed this to a 20 and 40 day wait, respectively. This benefits sellers that accept payment via PayPal, as PayPal provides a 45 day window for disputes. With the new 40 day timeframe, we believe more buyers will participate in the claims process.
  2. We have changed the time period allotted to file claim from 60 days to 120 days; across the board. This time period used to be for USPS shipments, only.

Support for Combo (Kit) Items

Historically, there are not many good, simple inventory software that supports "kitting" or combo items.

Even QuickBooks has some important limitations. The quantity available data for QuickBooks "inventory assemblies" must be "pre-built". It is not automatically calculated based on the availability of components.

Teapplix just released support of combo products that allows you to get around this limitation. We solve the quantity available problem if you use QuickBooks. We also gave you this capability if you do not use QuickBooks to track inventory.

Details are from the below link. Ability to define combo items, and track inventory comes as part of our "MultiChannel Inventory" subscription.

Multiple Amazon Accounts from the Same Country

Teapplix now supports adding multiple amazon accounts per country. There is no longer a limit of one Amazon account from each country.

On "Open Orders", the "Marketplace" dropdown will display a list of "merchant tokens", that allow you to only display orders from a specific Amazon account.

If you use eBay only mode, there is similar display in the drop down to show orders from a specific eBay account.
