4 copies per USPS international label with CP72

We have released a change when printing USPS international shipping label that uses the CP72 customs form. This applies to Stamps.com and Express1.

These labels are used for USPS Priority Mail International (excluding flat rate envelope and small flat rate box), and USPS Express International.

Teapplix use to print 3 copies. Now we print 4 copies. The 4th copy should be kept by you for proof of mailing.

Teapplix Releases Stamps.com Support

Palo Alto, California – May 23, 2011 – Teapplix Inc, the world’s leading provider of eCommerce Shipping and Accounting Automation software has released Stamps.com support. Customers with a Stamps.com can now batch print USPS shipping labels, including first class parcel and first class international, directly from a web browser without installing any software.

Teapplix provides web-based shipping and order management software for online sellers that can optionally export to QuickBooks. Teapplix automatically pulls orders from marketplaces like eBay, Amazon, Buy.com, Sears Marketplace and your shopping cart. Our web interface simplifies shipping, inventory tracking and bookkeeping, saving merchants time and money.

Teapplix’s Stamps.com integration is seamlessly integrated with Teapplix’s discount USPS program such that orders that qualify for discount will be routed to the discount provider, and orders that do not qualify will be routed to Stamps.com. The resulting labels will be assembled into a single PDF document ready to print, providing the savings without adding labor and training costs.

Teapplix will be showcasing their Shipping and Accounting Automation solution at the 2011 Internet Retailer Conference and Expo this June at booth 1939. For more information about Teapplix, please visit www.teapplix.com.

Support for QuickBooks Service Items

It use to be that you can only map your sales to Inventory and Non Inventory items in QuickBooks. This has been expanded, so you can map to all items with the following additional types:

  • Inventory Part
  • Inventory Assembly
  • Non-inventory Part
  • Service
  • Other Charge

Of course, if you don't want to track items, you can also pick one item from the above type as the "Default".

When you create new items in QuickBooks, it will automatically be pushed to Teapplix next time you sync using WebConnector. After that, you can use Teapplix item mapping screen to map to the new items.

Better Phone Number Handling

We made some enhancements on phone number validation.
If phone number is missing, or a US/Canada phone number is shorter than 10 digits, it will be replaced with your phone number which you enter under "Setup" => Shipping screen.

Change in bulk update and marking orders shipped

You now can use bulk update to mark orders shipped and put in a tracking number. In addition, you will also have the choice to say if you want Teapplix to confirm the order as shipped upstream, and send email notification.

It used to be that you can "update" an order and have a checkbox to "mark the order shipped", and optionally put in a tracking number. That is now removed from the update screen. Use the bulk update screen instead.

QuickBooks order export for payments without item

Teapplix has changed export behavior for "Paypal payments without line items". These are payments you get in Paypal where either the item name is blank, or quantity is 0. This will happen when somebody sends you money via Paypal, or you have a shopping cart incorrectly integrated with Paypal.

Teapplix use to require you update the order in Teapplix, to fill in item name / quantity and price before this order can export to QuickBooks. This behavior is now changed if your export option uses a "Default" item. When you have a default item, Teapplix will map to this default item, and automatically change the quantity to 1 if missing. Thus such orders can be exported without user intervention.

You can, of course, edit the order in QuickBooks after export to make adjustments.

This change does not affect you if your export option requires a matching inventory.
