MultiChannel Inventory

We have now had several customers live on multi-channel inventory, where Teapplix is updating their eBay and Amazon listings every 15 minutes, based on either "Teaplix as Inventory Master" or "QuickBooks as Inventory Master".

Initial results has been good.

We will periodically post updates in this area and planned enhancements. Please monitor this area for new announcements, and try out our new features.

(Note that MultiChannel Inventory is a Teapplix subscription option currently in beta. We are not charging for this feature while under beta, but expect to once we come out of beta. You can try this out by changing your subscription options under My Account).

Sales Reports

We have added a new report under the "Inventory" section. This report shows your active products, their sales by week, your profit & loss, and possibly commission owed if you group your items by sales reps. You can view the report on Teapplix or download to CSV. Note that actual content and math in the report is still considered beta and you should not reply on it fully for financial payments yet.

Cleanup Product List

Many of our customers, especially those that has been using Teapplix for a while, has accumulated many "Products" in Teapplix database. Many of those products are no longer active or sold. We now offer an automatic link that make products not on eBay / Amazon listings and not sold in last x number of days "inactive". This helps you manage your current products better and monitor their performance.

To use this feature, click on "Cleanup Product List" link on the Inventory => Products page.

Importing Product Inventory File

We recently discovered a discrepancy in our product import file under the "Inventory" tab.

1) For people that subscribe to InventoryAdvisor® Multi-Channel Inventory, the 2 image columns in the import / export file are named "Image Small" and "Image Large"

2) For people that don't subscribe to InventoryAdvisor®, the 2 image columns in the import / export file are named "Image small" and "Image big"

We have now standardized the 2 cases and the column names are now always "Image Small" and "Image Large". If you do not subscribe to InventoryAdvisor, you will need to update your product import file headings to avoid getting import errors.

Bulk setting of 3rd party billing for UPS | FedEx

You can now bulk update a list of orders to thirdparty billing for UPS and FedEx. In bulk update section, there is now a "Bill To" section that will apply the setting globally to all selected orders.

Class Support for QuickBooks Integration

Teapplix now can optionally assign classes, based on marketplace, to orders exported to QuickBooks.

Changes to QuickBooks Inventory Assembly Builds

If you setup your QuickBooks integration to have a default inventory site / location, Teapplix automatic inventory builds will happen in that site / location instead of the "default" location.

Amazon FBA Shipment Report Upload

If you use Amazon "Multi-Channel Fulfillment", and have ship your non Amazon orders via FBA, you can now obtain tracking numbers from Amazon and load into Teapplix.

Duplicate USPS Tracking Number Issues

We recently saw issues regarding duplicate USPS tracking numbers.  In this particular case our customer was using Stamps.com so we contacted Stamps.com and here is their response:

What we have observed recently from the USPS website is USPS has not been scrubbing out old tracking information from their tracking events page. Once the USPS receives our daily report of available tracking numbers we issued from the tracking number pool, the USPS website then updates that webpage to reflect current tracking event information.

Please note that tracking numbers older than 6 months are recycled and are made available for use by the USPS.

We are actively reaching out to the USPS to inform and make them aware of this behavior and how it's impacting customers. We'll be sure to follow-up with additional information as it becomes available.

Support for USPS Consolidators

Teapplix has released support for "USPS Consolidators" that handle international shipping.

You will generate your labels for international orders via your Endicia account using the USPS button. The label has no postage, but is good for companies like Globegistics etc.

To turn on this mode:

  1. You need to have your Endicia account enabled for the consolidator account
  2. In Teapplix "Setup => Shipping", make sure your USPS Provider is set to "Endicia", and then checkbox the "USPS Consolidators" checkbox.
  3. Save the page

Once you save, you will see that for international orders, you have 3 additional shipping methods:

  1. Intl. Priority Mail M-Bags
  2. Intl. Surface Air Lift M-Bags
  3. Generic Intl. Consolidator

You can select these shipping methods, put in any weight, and press 'USPS' button to generate the shipping labels needed for the consolidators.

Changes to Amazon Integration Logic

We have updated our Amazon MWS API integration logic:

  • Merchant fulfilled orders marked as shipped on Amazon will be imported or updated as shipped in Teapplix
  • Merchant fulfilled orders marked as cancelled on Amazon will be marked as cancelled in Teapplix

Note that the above update may have delays and may not be instantaneous. Some orders may initially import as open orders, and later be marked as shipped in Teapplix. There is a "Sync Orders Now" button in Teapplix, if you want to make sure all existing orders in Teapplix are updated to the right status, please press "Sync Orders Now" and make sure it completes without failure before processing your orders.
