Import QB Orders

We have released some major enhancement to our QuickBooks integration solution.

Now you can import orders from QuickBooks to print shipping labels in Teapplix.
You have the choice of import invoices (paid or not), sales receipts and sales orders. Teapplix is smart enough to not re-import orders that is originally from Teapplix back into Teapplix. It will also not export any orders that is originally from QuickBooks back into QuickBooks.

We have also released some other enhancements in QuickBooks integration:

  1. orders from other marketplaces like Buy.com, Sears, NewEgg etc can now be mapped to their own customers and accounts.
  2. you can now have your sales receipt deposit to "Undeposited Funds" in addition to regular bank accounts
  3. For domestic orders, Teapplix will no longer export the "country" line into QuickBooks. This solves a QuickBooks bug where it can't print addresses with "United States" as country.
  4. For eBay orders, Teapplix will append the item number into the item description field.
  5. You can now customize the way Teapplix name created customers. You can use normal name, company name, name + email / phone number, etc.

Open orders display change

Teapplix now displays item title, SKU, and location code if assigned on the open orders page.

One application for this is that if you have multiple warehouses or your inventory is handled by different people, you can put that in the location code using the remember weight screen. That location code can be used to sort your orders. Then you can use bulk update to move the orders to different custom queues so multiple people can process them.

USPS Priority Mail and Express Mail international will continue to be printed on 8x11 paper.

Customers with a Stamps.com can now batch print USPS shipping labels, including first class parcel and first class international, directly from a web browser without installing any software.

Support for QuickBooks Service Items

It use to be that you can only map your sales to Inventory and Non Inventory items in QuickBooks. This has been expanded, so you can map to all items with the following additional types:

  • Inventory Part
  • Inventory Assembly
  • Non-inventory Part
  • Service
  • Other Charge

Of course, if you don't want to track items, you can also pick one item from the above type as the "Default".

When you create new items in QuickBooks, it will automatically be pushed to Teapplix next time you sync using WebConnector. After that, you can use Teapplix item mapping screen to map to the new items.

Change in bulk update and marking orders shipped

You now can use bulk update to mark orders shipped and put in a tracking number. In addition, you will also have the choice to say if you want Teapplix to confirm the order as shipped upstream, and send email notification.

It used to be that you can "update" an order and have a checkbox to "mark the order shipped", and optionally put in a tracking number. That is now removed from the update screen. Use the bulk update screen instead.
